Our handmade, decorative, colored glass cabinet knobs and drawer pulls are unique among others currently on the market. The look is elemental and natural. Our fused glass pieces resemble small pieces of slab stone with one-of-a-kind random mixes. Each one is created and cut by hand and not by a pre-set design, so each piece will be totally one-of-a-kind.
Certain knobs/pulls designs are made with transparent glass with iridescent and/or dichroic reflective surfaces. Notice some of these metallic like sparkly features in some of the photos when the light reflects back from the piece. Some pieces are made from opalescent glass for a solid look. Many pieces have a deep, layered look.
These fused glass knobs/pulls are fired two times in the glass kiln. They were created with sheet glass, glass pieces, glass frit and at times, stringers. The first firing creates the larger sheet from which the smaller individual knob/pulls will be cut. The second firing is for polishing the pieces.
Our fused glass knobs are approximately 1.25×1.25 inches by 1/8 inch thick. These drawer pulls and cabinet door knobs will jazz up your kitchen cabinets, drawers, medicine cabinet, or that special piece of furniture. Each knob 5/8 inch hardware base has a satin nickel or chrome finish and includes a 8/32 screw.
Characteristics Note: Although we use new art glass materials for each of our pieces, the glass may have subtle ripples, swirls, striations and waves which can occur naturally in the mechanical or handcrafted glass production process. Most common are tiny bubbles, which can make for an organic look as they randomly sparkle as the light changes.
